Kasandra and Eric thought of every detail for their special day. The couple chose a beautiful color scheme of deep reds and plum wine, which complimented their romantic reception venue perfectly. They also chose a top live Pittsburgh wedding band to perform all night long for their family and friends. The weather could not have been more perfect, with many of their photos taken outdoors under the canopy of trees. Liv Hefner Photography captured the bride and groom, so happy and so in love.
The pair chose the Parkersburg Country Club for their wedding reception. The venue’s dance floor was in the center of the room with plenty of space for City Heat band to set up on stage.
The bride and groom were married at a Catholic church, the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption. We love this classic black and white photo of the bride walking down the aisle with her father.
The marble altar made for one stunning back drop as the bride and groom bowed their heads, awaiting to exchange vows. After they were announced husband and wife the couple made their way out to family and friends who showered them with leaves and white confetti.
We must pause for a moment to take a look at the bride’s bouquet. Truly, so romantic. The bouquet was a mixture of calla lilies, red and pink roses, and plum dahlias. The colors blended together beautifully, every flower in full bloom.
The bride was gorgeous with curls falling naturally to her shoulders and chandelier earrings sparkling in the sun. She wore a mantilla veil with lace embroidery and a form fitting dress. Her wedding gown was delicately stitched with lace appliques, capped sleeves, and crystals.
The bridesmaids wore dresses the color of wine, each a slightly different style. Their dresses were long and lightweight, perfect to move about the dance floor! The ladies wore their hair up, away from their face, with soft tendrils escaping free. Their bouquets featured the same colors as the brides, with pink roses, dahlias, and chrysanthemums.
The men wore light gray suits with pinstriped ties. The happy groom pinned a red rose to his lapel instead of a white one like the rest of his groomsmen, and a solid gray tie. What a handsome group!
The bride and groom held their reception at the Parkersburg Country Club. The venue looked beautiful with tall glass vases and low floral centerpieces. The flowers were arranged by Passiflora, who did a wonderful job incorporating the bride’s color scheme. Gold chargers rested under the white china with a small token of remembrance on each place setting. The napkins were red, the table cloths shimmery gold, and the chairs white with gold sashes.
How fun was the chevron runner? That is a great touch, a modern flair to this traditional wedding! We also love the fancy script table numbers in gold frames.
City Heat was ready to start the night with bridal party introductions atop the venue stage. How perfect for the band, with plenty of space for every member and instrument. The band played “Dear Future Husband” as the court made their way into the ballroom, right before playing another Meghan Trainor song, “Like I’m Going to Lose You” for the bride and groom to share their first dance.
We love this photo, taken by Liv Hefner Photography, of the bride and groom monogram. The bride and groom’s table was right in front of the stage, the best view in house of the band!

Guests were treated to a dinner buffet before City Heat announced the parent dances. The bride danced with her father to the popular song “Butterfly Kisses” and the groom danced with his aunt to “My Wish”. The party was about to begin as the band transitioned to play top hits from today and some of the bride and groom’s favorite oldies.
The five tier cake looked amazing, done by Village Cakery. Pink and red roses cascaded down the cake and the bottom layers were dusted in gold. We love the fireman’s ax resting next to the cake in the photo below, what a cute nod to the groom’s occupation!
The night was a blast, everyone had a great time dancing to City Heat’s jamming music. The father of the bride joined the band on stage to sing along with some of his favorite songs. What a party! The band was asked to stay even longer than usual, guests were having so much fun they did not want the party to stop!
“The band was so awesome and so much fun. Everyone talked about how great they were!” –Mother of the Bride
As the celebration came to an end, the band announced a sparkler send off would take place outside the venue. Family and friends cheered and waved their sparklers in the air, saying goodbye to the bride and groom.
