Meghan and Brad had a traditional wedding with all the trimmings. The gorgeous couple enlisted a fantastic top live Pittsburgh band to play at their wedding which featured beautiful flowers, tons of candles, and family and friends. The photos speak for themselves- there is so much joy in this wedding, from the smiling faces of the bride and groom to the emotional parent dances, happiness emits from every photo.
The bride and groom held their ceremony at The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. With tall ceilings, stained glass windows, and white and yellow flowers, their nuptials were exchanged in a stunning space.
Meghan was a gorgeous bride. Her strapless gown fit her like a glove. Her hair was swept up away from her face to show off her long pearl earrings and pretty smile.
We loved the beaded bodice of Meghan’s dress. White buttons trailed down the back and soft ruffles cascaded to the ground. Her bridal court wore burnt orange dresses- what a gorgeous color to chose! We also loved their gold statement necklaces. The junior bridesmaids wore a different style of dress than the rest, and the flower girls wore matching white dresses and orange sashes. Their bouquets were a work of art with every flower in bloom. The florist, Florals On The Corner, did an amazing job.
How happy does the groom look? A great big smile, center stage! The groom stood out from his court by wearing a white vest and crisp white shirt. He also wore a white bow tie instead of black like the rest of his groomsmen. What a dashing group!
The bride and groom celebrated their nuptials at the Blair County Convention Center. The venue space was so pretty and romantic. Tables were draped in white table cloths and had pink napkins with high centerpieces. The floral arrangements rested atop of clear glass vases and gold candelabras. The premier wedding band, City Heat, was all set up and ready for the bride and groom to make their entrance to great music which continued in a non stop party all night long.
Our favorite spot in the space was the bridal court table. We love this photo taken by their photographer, Courtney Katherine Photography. There were tons of creamy candles and small clusters of flowers. Glasses gleamed with champagne and at the very end of the table, the cake awaited.
The buttercream cake rested on a sunburst platter. One layer featured a letter “K”, in celebration of their new last name. Baker Lisa Becker, their cake baker, did a fabulous job! the City Heat Band introduced the bridal court as they entered the ballroom, playing the song “Busta-Move.” What a fun way to start the party- a high energy funky song! The bride and groom chose other great songs for the band to play throughout the night.
Musical Highlights
Bridal Party Entrance: Busta-Move, Young MC
First Dance: Making Memories of Us, Keith Urban
Bride/Father Dance: My Little Girl, Tim McGraw
Groom/Mother Dance: It’s Your Song, Garth Brooks
Last Dance: Wagon Wheel, Old Crow Medicine Show
Guests rose to their feet as the bride and groom shared their first dance as husband and wife. The couple looked so happy looking into each other’s eyes as City Heat performed the song “Making Memories of Us”.
We love a good cake smashing photo! The bride fed the groom his piece of cake as the band played a classic romantic song. It must have tasted as good as it looked! Soon it was time for the bride to dance with her father. Then the groom danced with his mother and halfway through the song, the band called up his grandmother to end the show. The band played long into the night, with a mix of classic music and new songs that got everyone on their feet! It was a fantastic way to celebrate the bride and groom!
“City Heat was absolutely tremendous and had everyone dancing the entire time. We hope to have your band again in the future, you are first class company!” -Groom
