Anne and Levi could not have asked for better weather on their wedding day. There was plenty of sunshine and clear blue skies. Their friends and family joined them to witness their marriage at the St. Raymond of the Mountains church. After the ceremony, their reception was held at the Seven Springs Resort in Pittsburgh. Guests were treated to cocktails, a four course dinner, great music, and lots of dancing! John Parker Band provided the entertainment for the evening. Everyone had a blast putting on their dancing shoes and listening to some energetic tunes!

Michael Williams photographed the bride and groom throughout their special day.  Michael was kind enough to allow us to use his beautiful photos for this post. We can’t thank him enough!

Anne was a radiant bride. She styled her hair in soft ringlets, away from her face to show off that pretty smile! Her dress was timeless, sleeveless, and covered in lace. A sweet bow tied in the back and a small train completed her look.

Two flower girls walked down the aisle carrying rose pom poms. How sweet are they? The aisle was lined with white bows and greenery. The couple exchanged their vows amid a stone altar and were showered with bubbles after the recessional. After that, it was time to party!

The bridal court were all decked out in the softest dresses. Perfect for an evening of dancing! And so pretty in a pale blue. The girls also carried pink, blue, and yellow blooms. What a lovely group of ladies!

The florals were done by Barron’s Florals. Most of the arrangements consisted of roses, hydrangeas, and other assorted wildflowers. In fact, wildflowers were definitely the theme of the wedding, they could be found everywhere! On handmade signs, place settings, and of course at each table.

Every table was different and unique, with large and small blooms. The table numbers resembled small chalkboards, as well as the “thank you” cards attached to bottles of champagne. So much thought was put in to the decor, we love it! The band was all set to make introductions and other special announcements, such as reminding guests to take plenty of photos with their phones and to use a special hashtag to celebrate the event.

We can’t forget about the cake! White buttercream with a simple piping, adorned with their new initial and flowers. What flavor do you think they picked?

When it was time for the bride and groom to have their first dance as husband and wife, John Parker Band  played “Better Place.” The bride also danced with her father to “My Wish” and the groom and his mother joined in to dance halfway through. More fun songs were played later in the evening, after a delicious formal dinner!

John Parker had the honor of hosting “the shoe game” for the bride and groom. Two chairs were placed on the dance floor, back to back, and the couple gave one another one of their shoes. The couple raised up a shoe to answer questions about them, such as, “Who will control the TV remote?” What a great ice breaker- everyone was ready to have some fun now!

Ambassador Banquet Conference Center Erie PA ~ Maura and Joe

Maura and Joe are a very sweet, happy couple. The pair came through many obstacles to be together and were so excited to become husband and wife. The couple planned for a traditional wedding with all the trimmings- a beautiful church, venue, with gorgeous flowers, cake, and one of Pittsburgh’s best live bands to perform at their reception. Dreamscape played their favorite tunes and encouraged all their guests to get out on the dance floor at the Ambassador Center. The bride and groom could not have asked for more, their day was just as they imagined!

Ambassador Center Pittsburgh Wedding Newlyweds Formal

The bride was a real beauty. With porcelain skin, natural makeup, and a swept up hair do, she must have taken the everyone’s breath away! Her off the shoulder wedding dress was covered in lace and her skirt was made of soft tulle. Her veil was pinned in the back and we love that she also wore a pretty headband.

Their ceremony took place at the St. George Catholic Church. Friends and family watched as the bride and groom exchanged rings and vows. The church was modestly decorated with two large flower arrangements at the altar and clusters of roses adorned the aisle.

Ambassador Center Pittsburgh Wedding Exchanging Vows

Their photographer, Rachel Lusky, took wonderful pictures of the bride and groom throughout their day. The relief and emotion was captured so well in this photo below. You did it! You’re married and now it’s time to party!

THANK YOU, John!  The reception was fantastic with Tammi and Dreamscape!  I told Tammi we had dancers, but I was amazed that no one sat down – the dance floor was full all night long!  And the fact that the band  all work so well together just made the evening flow perfectly.  It was a beautiful night! – Mother of the Bride.

Navy and coral are not two colors you see often at weddings! Which is a shame, because the colors certainly go together very well. We love the pop of coral against the bridesmaids cool blue dresses. We also love that while each dress was short in length (easy for dancing!), the styles were different. Way to go for personal style and comfort! These ladies look great!

A formal pose of the groom with his groomsmen, in their charcoal gray suits and navy blue ties. Wearing big smiles and supporting the groom, we bet they were ready for some great music at the reception.

The Ambassador Center looked so gorgeous! The couple decorated the space with white tablecloths, navy napkins, and coral floral arrangements. Sparkly chandeliers and elegant lighting added to the ambiance. A large dance floor was in view of every table with plenty of room to boogie down to Dreamscape band.

Let’s take a closer look at the floral arrangements. On a bed of greenery, the coral and pink roses and daises really looked popped! Alburn Florist did a wonderful job! Not to mention the bouquets- all creations of beauty.

For their first dance the bride and groom chose a Beatles song- “Here, There, and Everywhere.” They asked Dreamscape to play a CD recording. The bride then danced with her father to “I Loved Her First”, performed live by the band. There was not a dry eye in the room!

John Parker Band first explained, and then led, the breaking of the bread tradition as guests were seated. The mother of the groom and bride took part in holding and feeding the bride and groom a piece of the bread. Then, the best man had to break the bread in half over their heads, symbolizing who would be the bread winner and big spender of the family! John Parker Band was happy to be a part of the fun tradition. Guests were treated to a sit down dinner as toasts began from various family members. Soon the bride would dance with her father to “Daddy’s Angel” and the groom with his mother to “The First Lady In My Life”.

The party really got rocking with some Bulgarian music. The bride and groom knew how important it was to their family to play familiar music. The band was able to play many of the songs they requested & DeeJay all the rest. Another Greek tradition is the money dance, which everyone danced and cheered, tossing money around. Doesn’t that look like a blast? That’s a great shot below of everyone having a good time!
