George Washington Hotel Pittsburgh Wedding – Allison and Jared

November 21st was a crisp, bright and clear day – perfectly mild and sunshine-y for a happy couple in love getting married! Pittsburgh pair Allison and Jared chose a gorgeous – and historic!- venue for their November wedding reception. The George Washington Hotel was built in 1922 (and opened on our nation’s first president’s birthday) and boasts an impressive list of celebrity guests from the past that includes Bob Hope, JFK, Marilyn Monroe, the Monkees and even the Beatles!

The pair picked the Grand Ballroom from the list of six event spaces at the boutique hotel; it’s a majorly dramatic room with gilded paneling, soaring ceilings and sparkling chandeliers. Photographer Megan Ruffing Wylie expertly captured Allison and Jared’s vision that transformed the ornate room into a warm, inviting and totally glamorous space.

Wylie was able to use the incredibly vibrant fall foliage on the hotel grounds to snap some seriously stunning shots of the new couple; this sweet moment offset by the bold red leaves is a total framer!

When it came time for the cake cutting, Allison and Jared not only had a super cute polka dot cake made by Bethel Bakery, they also served up an entire dessert table of sweet selections. Pretty pastries, chewy cookies and decadent chocolates overflowed on pedestals and trays- the perfect avenue to keep guests properly sugar fueled to continue dancing all night long!

And speaking of dancing, the Dreamscape band totally delivered on the tunes.Playing an eclectic mix of classic rock, old standards, country and new favorites, the energetic band kept the crowd engaged and the fun levels through (very high) roof all night. As you can see, good music knows no age limit and revelers young and old took to the dance floor to help Megan and Jared celebrate!

Both the reception table centerpieces and the ceremony arrangements, created by local favorite florist The Farmer’s Daughter, were a sublime mix of unfussy and elegant with pastel pink roses and white hydrangea offset by the gray-green lambs ear plant. Megan and Jared put their DIY skills to use as well; the painted, glittery wooden monogram added a personal, whimsical touch to the reception decor.

Allison chose a super flattering ruched wedding dress with straps delicately encrusted with jewels. The guys wore classic blue suits and the classy champagne colored bridesmaids dresses perfectly accented the venue’s own charm.

And obviously, it’s not a wedding without a ceremony and Allison and Jared’s nuptial location was as grand and regal as the reception. Held in the early evening at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, it was a sweet and personal ceremony.

Renaissance Hotel Pittsburgh Wedding ~ Amy & Pat

Amy and Pat’s wedding day was reminiscent of classic Hollywood glamour. The decor was simplistic and agelessly elegant, but always sported some shimmer to add a little pop! No part of the wedding better represented this theme than the bride herself, who looked timelessly beautiful in a simple mermaid gown accented by sparkling heels and an engagement ring worthy of a princess! The guests were equally thrilled by the celebration and, with the help of the John Parker Band, had the time of their lives on the dance floor!

Gifted photographer Kristi Telnov captured the dazzling aura of this special day immaculately, allowing you to enjoy the true splendor of the couple’s big day!

The happy couple said their “I do’s” on the epic staircase of the Renaissance Hotel Pittsburgh‘s luminous lobby, sharing their first kiss as husband and wife beneath an ornate circular skylight. This beautiful moment is not only preserved in gorgeous photographs, but also in the minds of the newlyweds’ friends and family.

The couple and their guests moved into the hotel’s second floor ballroom to continue to create happy memories of the big day! The sparkling ballroom looked like a portrait of perfection thanks to the Renaissance’s event coordinator Katy Simovski! Romance was in the air thanks to the wedding’s soft color palette of pink and white, emphasized by the lovely peony and rose centerpieces.

Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe Wedding ~ Leanna and Jarret

Light, airy, and vintage defines the style of Leanna and Jarret’s late summer occasion. Vintage lace and “something blue” could be found throughout the day, from the bride’s exquisite gown to the floral accents on the dining tables. Between the enchanting atmosphere and the contagious sense of fun, this delightful wedding day is sure to go down in family history! One of Pennsylvania’s first class wedding bands ensured that the action on the dance floor never stopped, ensuring that this special evening was truly unforgettable for the couple and their loved ones!

The talented photographer Rodger Obley and videographer Mary Schwarzwaelder of Post Script Productions have generously provided gorgeous renderings of this romantic wedding for your enjoyment!

The Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe‘s garden provided a lovely outdoor space for the happy couple to exchange their vows. The bride walked down a white-carpeted aisle sprinkled with blue flower petals to the timelessly beautiful sounds of strings provided by John Parker Bands. The bride and groom shared their first kiss as husband and wife beneath a white canopy with a glass lantern, creating a singular backdropthat’s sure to hold a special place in their wedding album forever!

To celebrate their union, the couple and their guests moved inside the hotel ballroom. This expansive space was “dressed to the nines” in a classic ivory, baby blue, and light pale pink color palette, creating a beautiful vintage vibe that perfectly matched the bride’s lace gown. Hilton’s event coordinator Alexandra Jordan ensured that everything was picture-perfect, from the clean white table linens to the charming three-tier wedding cake. Though this reception had its vintage undertones, this group was anything but stuffy! The bride and groom provided playful brandy favors for their guests to enjoy during or after the dinner.

Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe Pittsburgh Wedding ~ Kristi and James

Kristi and James make a beautiful couple. The newlyweds celebrated their marriage at the picturesque Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe/Pittsburgh. A traditional Greek celebration was planned with fun music and customary dances. Pittsburgh’s top Wedding Band – John Parker, was a huge part of the night, providing outstanding entertainment all evening long. It was quite the party!

The bride wore a beaded gown with intricate patterns of flowers. Her hair was swept away, curled in a beautiful up-do, with a few soft ringlets around her face. Delicate capped sleeves and pretty earrings completed her look. Her classic, romantic style was captured flawlessly by their photographer, Amber Marie Photography.

The bride and groom exchanged vows at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church. Following the ceremony, friends and family arrived at the Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe to mingle and munch for cocktail hour.

We love the colors in this wedding. The bride and groom chose accents of red among the white, cream, and pink flowers. Soft gold taffeta covered the tables and plum chargers were set under the white china. Their florist, Donati Florist, did a fabulous job arranging the flowers.

The band was ready and waiting to start the evening in the reception hall. Upbeat music played, beckoning guests to the dance floor. The bridal party made their entrance and the bride and groom followed close behind. The couple shared their first dance as husband and wife as John Parker Band played “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)”.

As dinner was served, John Parker Band played soft music. Guests enjoyed the romantic vibe and were later delighted to watch the bride and groom share dances with their parents. The fun was just about to begin- the band called up family members to join in for a traditional Greek dance! What a lively wedding, from rock n roll to 70s and 80s hits, with Greek and American music intermixed! Guests boogied down all night long.

Sheraton Station Square Hotel Pittsburgh Wedding ~ Rachael and Alex

From the effortlessly beautiful decor to the ballroom full of smiles, Rachael and Alex’s wedding artfully intertwined natural elegance and family fun. This happy couple enjoyed their big day at the sleek and contemporary Sheraton Station Square Hotel, which lended a decidedly polished look to the entire wedding. Once the couple said their “I do’s,” guests celebrated the newlyweds’ union by moving to the melodies of Pennsylvania wedding band City Heat! This fun-filled wedding surely created wonderful family memories for years to come!

Wedding photographer Lauren Renee generously provided us with these breathtaking photos, flawlessly capturing the sophistication and warmth of Rachael and Alex’s nuptials!

Rachael and Alex were wed in a traditional Jewish ceremony. The natural light flooded in from the Sheraton’s expansive windows, illuminating the bride and groom as they exchanged their vows beneath the bright chuppah framed by simple cream flowers.

The Sheraton Station Square Hotel offered a gorgeous waterfront venue for celebrating the pair’s union, while wedding planner Margie Stang ensured that everything looked absolutely perfect. First, the couple and their guests enjoyed a relaxing cocktail hour in the Fountainview Room, delighting in cheese and fruit and chatting amongst themselves as a classic string duo played in the background. For the reception, everyone made their way into the Grand Station Ballroom, a gracious space featuring high ceilings, modern chandeliers, and oversized windows with unrivaled views of the Monongahela River and Pittsburgh’s sparkling skyline. After indulging in a delectable meal, the guests boogied on the dance floor!
