Reception Music

Phipps Conservatory ~ Cara & Ben

Love was in bloom at Cara and Ben’s garden wedding! The charming couple was married in June at the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, where an outdoor ceremony was followed by an evening of music and dancing with City Heat, one of Pittsburgh’s best wedding bands!

Bride Cara was a vision among roses, dressed in a fitted lace trumpet gown with a dusty mauve sash and a tiered veil, as she walked down the outdoor aisle to meet her groom. Her new husband Ben wore a classic black suit with a white tie, and the pink dresses worn by the bridesmaids complemented the colorful landscape.

The couple’s summer wedding was made perfect with creative touches throughout the evening. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails among the lush greenery of the venue’s gardens. In the reception hall, tables of white were surrounded by gold cane-back chairs and decorated with bright flowers planted in dark cauldron pots. To find their seats, guests looked to packets of seeds, which held the numbers at each table.

These photos, taken by Edward at Sky’s the Limit Photography and shared by the newlyweds, capture the elegance and charm of the evening, as well as the fun! The couple had a blast dancing with family and friends to the band’s fantastic playlist.

We are grateful to Cara and Ben for inviting the City Heat Band to be a part of their special day, and we wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!

PGA National Resort & Spa ~ Kimberly & Michael

Florida’s PGA National Resort and Spa is not only a top destination for golf enthusiasts, but a beautiful premier event venue as well. Happy, fun-loving couple Kimberly and Michael chose the perfectly landscaped greens and palm trees of the luxury resort for their wedding reception, and wanted a high-energy, professional band to perform for the party. The John Parker Band was ready for the challenge!

After a beautiful ceremony at St. Patrick Church, the couple and their guests arrived at the resort to drink, dine, and dance in celebration of the newlyweds. Bride Kimberly sent us an email after the wedding: “Wow, what can I say but THANK YOU for an awesome time! ALL of the guests had a great time and are still talking about it a week later! A lot of them aren’t sure what they are going to do with themselves this weekend.”

Thank YOU, Kimberly and Michael for letting us be a part of your big day! We wish you all the best in your marriage and hope that your celebration never stops!

Sheraton Station Square ~ Amber & Simon

When Amber’s sister was married ten years ago, she hired Dreamscape to play at the wedding. The family was so impressed that, a decade later, they coordinated this bride-to-be’s wedding date around the popular Pittsburgh wedding band‘s schedule!

Newlyweds Amber and Simon were married in an elegant ceremony at St. John Capistran Church. The bride glowed in a white chiffon and lace gown with a long white veil while her bridesmaids surrounded her stunning blue satin floor length dresses. After the ceremony, the couple invited their family and friends to celebrate their marriage with a reception in the ballroom of the Sheraton Station Square Hotel!

We are grateful to photographers Sean Blair and John Pascarella of The Brand Studio, who shared these fun photos from the couple’s big day:

Judy, the bride’s mother, wrote to us after the wedding to share her thanks: “It was another great wedding and the band had a lot to do with it. Thanks again for making this wedding something everyone is talking about.”

It was an honor to be a part of Amber and Simon’s special wedding day, and to celebrate another marriage with this sweet family! We wish the couple all the best for a happy life together.

Riverside Hotel ~ Dale and Theresa

Every wedding is special and beautiful in its own way, but there was something especially remarkable about Theresa and Dale’s wedding. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the couple started their marriage at home with an intimate ceremony in their living room.

Afterward, Theresa and Dale took their special day to another level, inviting everyone else to join them for cocktails and dancing at the elegant Riverside Hotel in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. The couple and their guests had a blast at the reception, dancing to the music of the John Parker Band, premier wedding entertainers for South Florida. The party was luau-themed, and featured centerpieces of tropical grasses, Polynesian leis for the newlyweds and their guests, and a ukulele serenade for the couple’s first dance!

Photographer Michael Murphy shared a few photos of the wonderful evening with us:

Our best wishes go out to this happy couple – may you have many more years of joy together!
