Carnegie Museum Pittsburgh Wedding ~ Jordan and Laurie

Carnegie Museums Pittsburgh Wedding - Newlyweds Pose TogetherJordan and Laurie’s traditional Greek Orthodox wedding was dripping with breathtaking flowers that were hand-arranged by the bride herself. The bride and her family own Gidas Flowers in Oakland, so adding a little natural beauty to this joyous occasion was a must!

But there’s way more to this wedding than just looks. This couple and their guests had a great time at the reception movin’ to the sounds of Pittsburgh’s acclaimed wedding entertainers, The John Parker Band.

The exquisite flower arrangements made every inch of this wedding pop! with aesthetic brilliance, giving wedding photographer Amber – founder of Amber Marie Photography – plenty of photo opportunities. The ceremony took place at the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, a stunning venue in Pittsburgh. The golden artworks gracing the high vaulted ceilings were only complimented by the gorgeous white peonies carefully placed throughout the church. The bride spent the majority of the ceremony sporting a happy smile, excited to finally be marrying her best friend!

Maggie and Joe’s laid back wedding had a distinctly intimate feel thanks to the modest ‘family & close friends’ guest list and sweet hand-selected decor. For this celebration,  the wedding band Dreamscape put on one heck of a show for the newlyweds and their guests!

Both the ceremony and the reception took place inside the West Overton Barn, a rustic venue. It was the perfect canvas for the antique decor that the bride and groom had in mind! The ceremony space was beautifully simplistic, decorated with only a few rows of wooden chairs and some flower boxes.

In the reception area, guests kicked off the night by signing bottles of anniversary wine for the newlyweds instead of a guest book. The old wooden beams of the barn were dripping with festive lights, giving the room a romantic glow. English-style flower arrangements, old newspaper table runners, book stack centerpieces, and window pane seating charts contributed to the distinct vintage feel of the wedding!
